Dr. Julianna Hayes is a residency-trained optometrist with a strong background in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease and a special clinical interest in glaucoma. Originally from Maryland, she earned her undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Virginia before moving to South Florida in 2021 to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University.
Following optometry school, Dr. Hayes completed a residency at Braverman Eye Center in Hollywood, Florida, with an emphasis on ocular disease. During her residency, she worked closely alongside cataract surgeons, retina specialists, glaucoma specialists, and oculoplastic specialists, gaining extensive experience in the evaluation and management of a wide range of eye conditions. Her training further developed her particular interest in glaucoma diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management.
Dr. Hayes is passionate about providing thorough, compassionate eye care and believes in helping patients understand their eye health and feel comfortable with their treatment plan. She is excited to continue caring for patients in the South Florida community as part of the team at South Florida Ophthalmology.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hayes enjoys staying active, working out, playing tennis, spending time at the beach, and enjoying the South Florida lifestyle.
